About me

Showpictures006.jpg

I am an artist originally from the woods of Pennsylvania, with a love for nature, ghost stories, and folklore. After moving to Dallas Texas to pursue my undergraduate degrees in Studio Arts (BA) and Anthropology with a focus on Archaeology (BS), I continued there as a photographer and artist, and began teaching art. The pandemic brought me back to Pennsylvania where I set up a small ceramics studio and began selling pottery, until I moved to London in 2023 to pursue my Masters in Ceramics and Glass at the Royal College of Art.

Ceramics

Ceramics is the primary medium in my practice at this time.

My ceramic work ranges from wheel thrown pottery to large scale sculpture, and I've recently been working in mold making and slip casting as well.

While ceramics is my medium of choice, painting photography printmaking and drawing are all a part of my practice as well.

Inspiration

My work pulls heavily from my dreams, mythology, and folklore. Folklore in particular is something I have an unending passion for, likely because of growing up in a small town in the northeastern US, where many of our folk tales seemed entirely possible. Ghost stories, puppets, and evenings spent in the quiet woods shaped my childhood, and provide a great deal of inspiration for my work even today.
